Have you been noticing how much so called “advice” we all receive from various mediums. Social Media, mainstream press, TV, blogs and magazines are constantly telling us the “best way” or giving us “quick tips” on fitness, money, health, parenting…..the list goes on and on. The funny thing is that we may actually take in some of this advice because we don’t have a better plan or idea.

The theme of our articles in this edition are clearly linked to “It’s Your Life”. Rather than taking on board the default plan for the masses, create a plan that is a perfect fit – just for you and your family.

“Helping you find your financial path” highlights the need for you to think about and discuss your big picture goals and then outlines some high level steps. If you are clear on your goals and have set plans to achieving them, you are more than half way there!

“A little adrenaline can be a good thing” discusses the importance taking on some stress if we are to achieve our goals and how having a mindful approach to stress can actually be very powerful. This is vital when we chase BIG dreams!

The final article “Tackling Financial Stress” examines some research regarding Australian households and financial stress. Whilst there are genuine cases of financial hardship, we see that much financial stress is present due to inaction or doing the same thing over and over hoping for a different result. Taking this head on is nearly always the best course.
